Klaus,

One must pause here, since this is where the Lamogen is displaying its magic in b&W and doing it with aplomb! This photograph is extraordinary in it's composition and sense respect for our lives as individuals. The photograph includes a small figure that we wonder about.

The tree has been around a long time and but we only know that the lone person is taking a time out and enjoying the view. The picture evokes a feeling of time passing also for me the hope that the individual will fare well.

Wonderful work and a special treat!

Of course, "Spring flowers" are always suitable for working the Lamogen booked.

Thanks Asher. I tend to sit there too, as it is a wonderful place overlooking this great park and looking directly westward, to see the sunset. That tree (a Metasequoia actually) feels indeed very protective, strong and grounded, yet at the same time connect with everything. Everyone sitting around there gets quiet within minutes. A very special place it is indeed - and I wanted to capture all that. It seems I could get a glimpse of that there...

I do not want to see a limitation of your academic work, but I must admit to looking forward to your retirement when you will be able to devote more time to photographing people with such sensitivity.

Klaus,

It's a great gift when you share your forays into the human environment and observe us.

It's hard to ignore the extra information different spectral imaging gives us, and as a scientist, that generates all sorts of ideas on reasons for things as they are and many more new questions. However, despite all my fascination and thirst for pushing barriers of our known world, we are hooked emotionally to feelings towards our fellow human beings and the creatures we recognize from stories and legends like innocent deer and savage lions, circling Hawks and scurrying field mice, as all these seem to mirror our daily lives.
