Fabulous, but how does she control the thickness of the yarn. Are you sure it is spinning or is she merely building up a spool for weaving from prepared yarn in the bag?

I probably should have said twirling as she was twirling the spindle in her right hand.

These are richly endowed and proud artisans! A lot of other indigenous folk tend to give up their special traditions, assimilate, blend in and their uniqueness become lost. I love this scene of inheritance!

Akin to a Janist monk with a mask on his face to prevent eating flies, or an Orthodox Jew with fringes by his pockets or clusters of Buddhist initiates in saffron.

Tradition maintained!
