This is fascinating for its somber ambiguity! Is the man friendly or somewhat put out by the interruption in his walk at that time.

I feel a sense of hostility even though he's showing a friendly face, as there is also a slight but real strain of resentment or negativity I perceive.

Am I alone in this reaction?

Still the picture is well composed and achieved.

Hi Asher

He was friendly Asher and also very funny guy. I think your description is accurate to a certain degree. He gave me a few different looks just for fun but it would be impossible to know his feelings at the time without him telling me.
