Hey guys,
Any one know a good wedding album design service???
One that does print and binding as well.
Quality is most important.
Any ideas or comments will be much appreciated.

Thanks, Mark

Yes

Are you a professional photographer?

The album companies vary in quality, software requirements, choices in paper, covers etc. Then there is design and there are many styles of design as well.

Third consideration is the budget for a book.

Most of the better album companies will only work with a professional photographer. You must sign up ahead of time, have a reseller's permit and other evidence you are a professional.

I haven't tried this company, but their albums are GORGEOUS. Very pricey, but for the bride that does not have a budget, or at least a very large budget, these are the way to go: http://www.queensberry.com/

I, too, am looking for a good album for the more budget conscious brides. If anyone else has any suggestions, I would also love to hear them.

And, yes, I am a professional. I already have accounts with a few printing companies, but I am not impressed with their albums.

Any suggestions?

Another reputable company is Graphistudio. They expect you to buy a kit to show your clients.

I'd consider an ipad! Why, its; live and parents can have loads of fun. It's the least expensive option and I think it's worth considering!

I never had to pay for my Graphistudio kit, came as free. If you want a sample album made up from your images then it's half price but stamped 'sample'.

Their design is IMO appalling, don't let them design for you. You can download their free Graphistudio software once you are registered with them. It's also rather horrible but once you learn how to deal with its rather badly written routines, it's very fast to make up an album using it. I've only done one album with it, I find it rather simplistic as intended to be used. I used to design by hand in Photoshop, took a full day to do an album. I now design using FotoFusion, I can do an entire 50 page album from scratch using no templates in just two hours. Magnificent program, easy and powerful and heartily recommended. My albums with it are more simplistic than my previous Photoshop designs but I prefer the speed and also the style.

Using the Graphi software:

Using Photoshop alone:

I haven't used them myself, but the wedding photographer I work with uses collages.net. I've seen the albums and they're lovely. Plus if you're a member of PPA I think you get a pretty big discount.

Collages

Run from Collages.

There are much better services. I do my own...I have used the Graphi software to do my own but it crashed on the first one and I had to do it all over again.

We use queensberry! They are great. The only problem is that there is not too much space for profit margin because they are expensive.
