Fine Art Black & White

This past weekend I visited a city about 4 hours away - on the other end of El Salvador, near Guatemala. Same type of culture - but different streets to capture.

Walking along a street, I noticed some strong shadows, a bicycle and a post that it was chained to. And all was framed so perfectly by a wall on the right, and a light stand on the left. It was a long ways away, and so initially I was just going to wait until I got to the corner and see what I had to work.

The composition and interaction between the elements was just too strong. I pulled out my telephoto and shot at about 250mm equivalent and caught this sliver of content. Good thing I did. As I got to the corner, there was nothing of interest to shoot.

Robert,

Thanks for your serendipity - it doesn’t doesn’t occur from all angles. We get, what we get from the oddest of circumstance and the best ones are transient.
