Motmot Again

An Andean Motmot. For a time considered to be endemic but now known to reach Bolivia. One of their calls sounds like dropping a pebble into a bucket of water.

If you are a large beetle, tarantula or lizard you do not want to be out and about if this guy is around.

I had forgotten about this bird. Glad you returned it to us! Very beautiful eyes!

I wondered to myself, “Hmm, Motmot, which young model was that?”

Yes, this is one of the most extraordinary creatures to see! I’m so glad God didn’t make me a lizard!
