I've been waiting a while for a kookaburra to come into view.

Yep, they're related to our Kingfishers. I can see the same attitude in the eye. Nice photo Andy.

As far as I know Tom they are a kingfisher (the largest of all).
That attitude! I've seen them dealing with decent sized snakes which they will whack repeatedly on a branch then swallow whole. They can give those solid beaks an absolute hammering with no apparent ill effects.

Nice pic. I love kookaburras as they come us close and they tend to come back to a same spot a few times so pretty easy to get a pic of them.
