Yellow River, heavy cloud, this is her up stream, twisting far away and disappear in the sky! Who else come here and took picture before? I wonder to know what it looks in other big format camera!

Anna,

when the bottom 1/3 is cut away this image starts to work for me - could be amazing in moonlight ?

the colors remind me of images I made on rannoch moor...

cheers

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your comment! You are right, when i took this picture, i thought over how to make the composition of it, in fact, i took several pictures at the same landscape to make sure that i can choose one good. I tried cut 1/3 at the bottom but i think it will show more sky and i don't think it's good, so i choose this one. If i climbed up to a higher and farther hill or use a wide-angle lens i think the view will be better, but you know, it's so tired if you climb a hill on a highland!

Someone will pass the night there to see the sunrise or sunset, that's the most beautiful time of the Yellow River! We planned to see the sunset, unfortunately, when we reached there, it's rainy, snowy and very cold, so we missed it!

I transpond a picture of the Yellow River in sunset!

This is the scenery in summer!(Transpond)

Anna,

Mark has such a good idea. So I'm guessing you don't mind me trying and even going further. I'm just using iPhoto on the nearest iMac!!

Hope you like this alternative presentation showing the dragons in the sky! For sure I'd love to have my LF 8x10 camera with a whole lot of coral filters! In fact, this deserves an 8x20 view camera!

Yes Asher! The picture you edited is much more better. I can't imagine how large the 8x20 camera should be!

To Scott: It's her most beautiful moment when sunset or sunrise!

Welcome Cody, your picture focus on the land, that's what i want! What software you used to make it? I see you change the light.

Anna,
I used Photoshop Elements 7, and I only did a color correction.

Cody,

Why did you want to remove the well drawn sky full of arguing shapes. That surprises me!

Asher

Asher,
I personally thought it would look better as a panoramic style.
As for cutting the clouds out, as they were just seemed like a bunch of empty space.
