ummmmmm,
i think your trying to post a link directly to your computer file. if you are you need to upload your photos to an image host and then post the url of the image in your post :) .

As James points out, you need a server. Join flikr, pBase, Smugmug, or other service. Do a search of free web hosting if you don't want to pay, but make sure you always have copies for yourself as backup. Get the URL of that image on the space they provide. That's what you need!
