How do you connect it. for the benefit of the folk that 1219 mm!

Asher

Asher,

the best suggestion yet is two sliding boxes; one inside the other. I am looking to build it this summer.

Bart - its so bloody heavy that it feels like the camera is a bit part to the lens.

cheers

Maybe, but probably not!

In any case I have never felt inadequate with my 50mm. Neither have others.
In mm or weight.

Just for the record, I currently can extend from 35mm to 100mm. Depending on the situation.

What's on your mind? Or why do you ask?

Regards.

800mm F/5.6 and 1500mm F/4.5

OK - the second one is actually a telescope with a 13" primary mirror and not something I can take on a hike, but it still counts as a "lens" :)

Actually, the 800/5.6 isn't something I really take on a hike much, either.

But the question didn't say anything about portability.
