Hi folks,
Yesterday I posted this : http://www.openphotographyforums.com...ad.php?t=17474

But now with Asher's and Paul Abbott's (and maybe some others I haven't been aware of) miscellaneous contributions with this smart camera, I thought that we should create that section… All posts are displayed all over the fora and one cannot have a good overall view of what can be done with the GR…
So here we are!
Everyone is of course welcome to contribute and discuss here…

As a reminder and not complete list of post already done here in OPF:

Hi, Nicolas,

I think it is very significant that one of our most potent photographers, and the regular wielder of some of the most potent tools in our arsenal, should also be a "follower" of this pocketable* machine.

*If one does not put the OVF on it, perhaps.

It will be interesting to see the range of work that can be done effectively with a fixed focal-length lens (in particular, one that would once have been spoken of as "quite wide angle".

Best regards,

Doug

Hi Doug
thanks! But one has to stay humble!
When Pentax proposed me to be part of their GR Ambassador program, I did not hesitate a second.
The camera doesn't make the picture.
High tech cameras may help for big enlargements and the choice of focal is handy.
It happened to me (and I remember to have reported here a shot made in Venezia, and one in NYC no later that last fall) to bring my main camera and one lens only… it's a pretty good exercise!
The 28 mm focal is quite interesting and disappoint me at beginning, but now it's fine!
This little camera without lowpass filter delivers incredibly sharp and detailed images (to the price of rare moiré)…
I do keep it for my personal works and still shoot with the 645D for my clients!
