Flower shop + deli shots wide open...
Quite some hype for that lens in Asia, I wonder why....
Klaus,
A lot of pleasure in a small lens. Amazing that this is 1940's technology, AFAIK. There was a little camera made after the WWII that had this lens.
It's a very fine investment as no one is going to put these lenses to shame with something new. I picked this one to give isolation to just one of your pictures.
I could have chosen any of the others, but this one is extraordinarily basic and strong. This one has bold asymmetry and a garden of OOF mystery to get lost in. The only thing I might suggest, if I may, is some added vignetting as the illumination is so even. For printing, my late father in law, Art Lopatin, always would finish off such a still life with his big wand with a round piece of card on the end to hold back the light on the exposure of the print at the corners and edges. Who bothers today?
You are consistently showing us "exhibition-quality" pictures. Bravo, Klaus! I just wonder how large this might print.
