Butterfies can be tricky since their colors can derive from pigment or structure. This butterfly, Epiphile orea absolutely tricked my Sony a6000. The bright yellow wing bars in the image below:
were in fact not yellow at all but bright fuchsia like the bars in this image of another species:
I tried all sorts of settings including flash but could not get the a6000 to perceive the wing bars as anything but bright yellow. I wonder if any one else has encountered such a color perception limitation with their camera.
