For a long tike, I've been using the Autopanp Giga stitching software. It allows mixed input of files from different resolutions camera, even fisheye lenses with stacks of bracketed exposures if need be. It also has a good range of projections to chose from in output to a stitched panorama.
I'm planning to put the latest version of Autopano Giga through it's paces using pictures taken with the Ricoh GR and the Canon 5DII and 7D. I also plan to test the Gigapan robot using a Canon body and lens.
So right now I'm choosing files!
