For the tests, Fahim, using color allows for assigning colors to tones of gray and often a better image. Still, you are gleaning info. What's the verdict so far, today?

Agree. I was testing .jpg ooc, between d700, xe1 and the me. All with fov = 50mm.
Color needs shooting raw, which I shall do later.
Btw, the m8 is the best for b&w!

Fahim,

Every recent camera I own(ed) had its fair share of boring pictures, especially among the first 200.
I did not find any better way to get used to a new camera.

Even if there is no apparent aesthetics sometimes - you still can feel the joy using the new camera.
