Interesting that you have included at least 3 "3rd elements: the duality of figures wrestling in the foreground tree trunk, the "finger of a twig adamantly pointing from to the right from the left of the picture and of course that well-placed gate which introduces triads of new imaginative possibilities to keep the picture freah and entertaining for years to come.

So, Paul, you hit this one out of the ballpark! ......or in terms of "cricket", "for six", at the very least, LOL!

What's interesting is that the first two special areas of interest in the picture are in themselves insufficient to "make the picture work". If one covers up the gate, there is no power to the picture at all. It is only the entire composition that works so well as a whole, together much more impressive than the sum of the parts.
