An interesting development is the apparently impending introduction of the Canon EOS Kiss X7 (maybe also Rebel SL1 and 100D*) in white livery.
It reminds me of the helmets of the intergalactic Stormtroopers from "Star Wars".
I am reminded of the era of the Canon EOS Digital Rebel/300D (my first dSLR, by the way), in which there was massive and incessant treatment in various forums of the fact that this could never be considered a serious camera by virtue of its "silver" finish (all right-thinking folk knew that a real camera was [all] black).
I suspect there was the same reaction many decades ago when Kodak (their Graflex arm) introduced the 2D view camera in the darker mahogany (thus "D") finish.
It is nice to have our technology move forward.
Best regards,
Doug
*I do not know in which markets it will be available.
