Hi

it is a very rare moment during a year, when the southern sky is lightend red after the sunset.
This was on Nov 19th, comin along with a clearing sky after rain ...

Wolfgang,

This is certainly unusual and I have never seen clouds painted from below like this!

Do we know why this rare phenomenon occurs? Does it require a certain angle or that and a certain gaseous content of the air and contaminants that are illuminated?

Hi,

thanks for your annotations.
I do not know the reason for this athmospherical effect.
It is very rare, sometimes it occurs in summer, I saw it in autumn or winter for the first time.
It is rare but it is beautiful.
