Default D700 not replaced yet....

Undeniably there is a big section in the FF market that it's not served by any maker currently, there are many customers (especially pros) that don't care much for ultra high resolution files, but would rather prefer a top quality yet compact body, fast response and great image quality in all other aspects of photography (DR, LL, color depth, etc). This is obvious from the surprisingly high S/H values of D700 bodies, that was the major choice for such customers.... Yet, Nikon hasn't provide a replacement although the demand is proven and the technology of the camera is now old.... Not very wise of them, since they have all the technology to serve this market ready (D4 sensor and processor) it?
