I haven't posted any images recently, so thought I'd put one up from my Brazil trip last November. This was taken in the Pantanal, the largest Wetlands area in the world.
It's a Muscovy Duck, which is found in many places. We were shooting from the back of our vehicle, and getting a lower angle wasn't an option, unfortunately.
The detail and colors on this species are very impressive, and it's fascinating how despite all of that, it still ends up looking "ugly!"
