A few photos from a place to remember !
There are some thousands steps to climb. Porters are available and it is very convenient mainly if you are rather old. You have to go bare foot. Wonderful place to visit !
Some images have already been posted here somewhere, I am afraid...

Antonio,

These are extraordinary sights. Thanks for sharing. One feels sorry for the porters but no doubt thryvarevthrilled to get the work, as arduous as it is.

Still it’s hard for my progressive mind. But the society powers set up their own manufactured artificial conundrum.

1. You have to go up too many steps!

2. You can’t wear shoes

3. They have masses of folk who need unskilled employment.

Still, I would not like to be carried as some superior being. It’s a class thing that I find revolting. Yet I would love to be able to visit the place by bridge, cable car or helicopter.

But then, to satisfy my luxurious privileged “conscience” hundreds of families would be deprived of sustenance!

Que je fasse? Que devrais-je faire?

Asher
