Pollen Filled

Pollen Filled is from my The Beauty Within collection (though you could argue that it would be equally at home in my Naturally Abstract gallery). It was a tough call, but it does have easily identifiable anthers and filaments. Anyway, it was composed at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Aiken, SC. I loved how the anthers were bursting.

I must return to this as the picture is so well done and reveals the bespoke “tanned leather” appearance of the back of the pollen laden antlers. I have never before realized this level of males style in a flower!
