Fascinating and hopeful for Cajun music. I wonder if they have recorded any of their work. How much was in the Cajun French? Interesting to see how the traditional melodies and nuances of language have survived to this new generation. Today, the different French of the Creole communities is mixing at the edges with the different Cajun vocal and traditions, but the music is still separate.
I found this helpful site where differences between their to communities and origins are explained.
