The bird is splendid! Must be fabulous when flying and more red is revealed!

You resisted hyping it with a boost of saturation and an S curve! What a purist you are today!

Or maybe you don't generally “optimize” your birds for extra impact?

Look at the diverse ecology of just one branch: itself, the growing saprophytes and parasitic species, then all the hidden teeming insects, the parasites onbtgevinsects, and of course the fungi and bacteria that live on their poop!

I did make some adjustments. Was afraid they might be too obvious. They are noisy as the dickens and have to flap fast to stay airborne with that huge beak.

Then what the advantage evolutionary-wise to the material investment in that huge beak?

Is it like a peacocks display? For mate attraction?

It’s always worthwhile to be spiffy for a great night on the tree-tops!
