Hi Tom,

Some windmill farms are handsome engineering. There now seems to be an issue with some designs to deal with destruction of migrating flocks of birds by these massive windmills. Anyway, these can be so beautiful when designed well.

Wow, that is an amazing shot. The position of the propellers is exactly right, and the contrast of the different layers of clouds is really eye-catching. Most of the time these things are really aesthetic, in my opinion.

They are, indeed. Well put, these are the small things which make the difference between a good photo and a lesser one.

Thanks for your comments Brenna and Cem,

Near infrared has a unique ability to bring out cloud detail. Despite this, and some other oddball things only it can do, I'm not yet convinced it is worthwhile wavelength. Too soon to give up, however; an IR venue may yet be discovered.
