My World: A Boy & His Stick

First day with my new Sony 55mm on my NEX-7. My great nephew playing in a creek, reminds me of many happy days of my childhood doing the same at my grandparents farm.

This is such a beautiful picture, a real character study and done without any disturbance to him. This is superb color. The Sony does so well here. I use this lens too and it's perfect wide open!

Jim, an exquisite image of innocence, the joys of childhood, of those simple things in life we often overlook. And later on pine for them.

This image speaks to me of many things...all bringing a joy to my soul.

Take care.

I agree with Wolfgang! This takes you back to peaceful, joyful days when discovering a forrest filled with magic. Well photographed -

Thanks everyone, this lens was a bit pricy for a 55mm, but seems to have been worth it. Here is another, better actual portrait, although it doesn't speak to me as much.
