These are portraits that i'm collecting of my nephew...I plan on photographing him at all ages for as long as I can, or he lets me. :)

Those are cute - I like them. Almost a harking back to 60's Kodak Instamatic photos for me (cleaner and sharper of course).

Paul,

A new area for you and your first choices for us are winners for me! These go so well together as they are both about seeing. Kids love these games until they learn that things don't vanish when they disappear from sight!

Thanks, Asher and Robert. I've been doing the same with my other little one, Harvey. So it's not such a new thing for me I guess. :)

Hey Robert, I can't say i've seen anything produced by those cameras...

It was just a popular camera that everyone seemed to have while I was growing up in the 50's and 60's. Half of the shots my mom has from those years have that square black and white look - although there are a lot of colour ones as well.

I don't really know why it reminded me of them - - - I think it was the format as well as the type of content.

I tried to find something online - closest was this - http://thevintagent.blogspot.ca/2008/10/california-dunes-riding-in-60s-black.html

Hey Robert, thanks for that link. I love images taken by film cameras, this digital age just goes to show how great film quality is, especially with it's dynamic range.

Lovely portraits of Charlie, Paul. Framed by the leaves is so precious and peek-a-boo? Heh, we've all done that and seen that, I think it gives us this immediate connection and identification of those moments. Well captured!

Your so right, Maggie.
When I took the shot of Charlie through those leaves I just wish I had asked him to put his finger to his lips offering a 'shush' moment, I reckon he might have done it...but I might have lost the shot overall if he hadn't. :)
