A view through a window

New Yorkers are renowned for never looking up.
...that's why it is so easy to spot a tourist.
Well, I broke the rule one day and was treated to this sight a few stories up...

I must have been an easy target in NYC then, considering my interest in the buildings looming above me. So what kind of fine must you pay for breaking this secret rule? ;-)

The picture is quite good, I like the bold composition of the window in the middle focusing the attention to the action behind it. The look on the face of the kid on the left adds a lot to the picture imo. I like the arms holding the toddler actually, I would not remove them. Thanks for sharing despite your busy schedule atm.

Cheers,

nice John!
My spontaneous thought was, how would this even look with just the kiddo, the face on the left, and no arms.... ;)

Thanks Georg, I appreciate the comment. Sadly, however...you presume skills with PS I'll never possess!

My dear friend, all I know is when I break the rule I usually trip over something!
Thanks so much for the comment.
Busy yes! We're now counting eight winter storms in six weeks. Today's disaster was an ice storm. Lost power for most of the day.
And, we're in such a crapper at work I had to do the saddest thing thing I've ever done - turn down an invite to participate in an offshore big game fishing tournament in the Keys. Look closely. You can see the tears...

John, I like the capture for its simplicity and honesty.

This is how I have seen it many times. This is how you saw it. This is how a child looks thru a window.

I know..my grand kids do exactly that.

Excellent.

Regards.
