Abstract bg for full length portrait

I am, of course having fun looking at shoots done several years back when no one had heard of SARS CoV-2!

Here I thought I would create by hand an abstract bg to complement Kate’s sharp look!

I am still working on the picture, but I wanted to share this with you as it’s for sure a departure for my presentations of studio shots!

Comments welcome!

I love that you are exploring ! Keep on! I really think this background is too much for this portrait. It takes your eyes of the prize/ It is a bit of a busy background to go with simplicity of the shot/ where her arm is posed on the right seems to be a gray medium of color inside looks like it draws my eyes toward that instead of the woman. I think I would try for a different background a bit softer Just sayin "

Yes, you are mostly correct but I needed to share it as it’s spectacular but wrong. It’s a new set of thinking.

Unlike the flower, here, I cannot abstract her without losing her easily and her pose doesn’t say sex, lonely, angry, lithe, vulnerable. She is just a beautiful really good person!

So there is no pose or expression that would survive much alteration. So I realize that for her I need new ideas. I combined her with a snowed up waterfall!!!

So I am testing and trying new paths.

I don’t want to flood OPF with Nudes but perhaps they will be better starting points for abstraction.

Great thing is that you, as a real friend, are willing to hold me to account!

So I have returned closer to my usual style which depends on the glancing bright areas of the lights on to the black paper hbackground.
