As you perhaps know, Carla has in recent times taken up acrylic painting.
Her first studies were by way of workshops held at a local craft shop. Her works from that era were wonderful, but the instruction was not very sophisticated.
She has now taken up study under a well-respected local painter, living in the village of La Luz, just north of Alamogordo, and home to many wonderful artists and artisans. (Archaeologists believe that H. sapiens sapiens have lived in that are for at least 100,000 years.)
Here we see her first work of that era, "Got Rocks".
Douglas A. Kerr: C. C. Crittenden: Got Rocks
(Carla paints and writes under her maiden name, C. C. Crittenden. Yes, Crittenden is a prominent Cherokee family name, thank to a British officer who found a Cherokee girl irresistible. Completely understandable!)
Best regards,
Doug
