Much of the art we see represents the creative output of Latino and Black American street artists. The figures often represent aspects of social and political statements.
Often, being outside of these communities we are left just appreciating the designs and getting no more than a vibration of what it might really mean!
These start of the area of Venice Boulevard and Robertson and the entrance to the 10 freeway in the Eastern transition from to Latino and Black populations with the “safe areas” of mostly European citizenry about a 1/2 a mile away.
