Anti-winter

Brrrrrr!

Tom Robbin's most excellent winter images have left me chilled to the bone!
Although more than 6 months away, I long for the hazy, lazy days of summer!

Here's a shot of a 1750's working grist mill at the Phillipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow, NY.

This is a beautiful image John. I can see why it might make you long for the days of Summer again. I don't quite have the same longings here in Houston since today, January 3rd, we still hit a high of 78 degrees and I was out doing yardwork!

As I said, I really enjoy looking at this image. I wish it showed me a little more since the area looks completely wonderful but perhaps that is a good thing, leaving them wanting more?
Was this an HDR or just a single, normal shot?
Don't worry...Summer's coming.

Hi James,
S-s-s-seventy eight degrees? Sorry, my teeth were chattering while I typed! Jeez, I can't get my house that warm! Ahhhh, to live in the warm climes!

Re: the image, thanks for the compliment! It is a 5 exposure HDR, Photomatix with post processing in PS.

Hi John,

This is the perfect antidote for the winter doldrums. I like the warm earth tones of your well-controlled HDR processing.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the compliment. It's ironic you chose to speak to "the well controllled HDR processing". The original finshed image had much greater saturation. Prior to posting I re-thought my heavy-handed HDR and desaturated it a bit. I like this much better.
Thanks again,
