During one of the typical monsoon storms over Bangkok a few months back during rainy season I set my camera up on the tripod and this is the view from one window of my condo.

Nigel,

I was looking at the file to see how you set the shutter for this shot, but there's no info. You do not even have your own © information so this picture could get lost to the public domain. I wish I had shots like that!!! A good idea is to document that you do not give away your work to the world unconditionally!!!

Anyway, I like the capture of the lightening. T central feature of the cloud from which lightening seems to go both up and down simultaneously is very biblical looking and epic!

I guess you use a slow shutter speed and your share of good luck as the result is fabulous and enjoyable!

Thanks Asher I will check how to add the copyright info in future. It was about 30 seconds since you never know when lightning will strike...I just knew there was a lot of it and if I had the shutter open I might be lucky and catch one of them

So did you use a tripod or rest it on a ledge?
