Barren Beach Finds

A cold bleak colourless day as we walked along a Lake Huron Beach this afternoon. But I managed to find a few objects to photograph with my long 600mm equivalent lens.

Robert,

This appears to be hardly Barrett but there’s still an enigma.

it looks as if there’s the female glower remnants between two leaves.

But the leaves, unless they are normally this color seem like autumn fallen leaves!

So hoe come blossom when the leaves are bring shed?

It is fall (autumn) Asher. From what it looks like in the picture, the flower is dead as in the pedals are gone, as are the leaves. All I can remember about this was walking along the boardwalk and noticing a small patch of colour in the middle of a bunch of dry limbs. What I saw as a heart shape with the two leaves, was probably no more than an inch and a half to two inches across - very small. I just aimed my lens, snapped and moved on - taking no note as to what the plant was. This is the colour it was with the low setting sun hitting it.

This backlit tall apparent grass clump is dramatic!

The background ground glass Bokeh is a diffuse army fatigue green with bright and dimmer bubbles finishing off a perfect composition.

That it’s asymmetrical reflects decades of photographic planning, required of a professional earning a living by such refined skills. No accident to please us this much!

Kudos!

Asher
