Bega river at Utvin

Asher Kelman

OPF Owner/Editor-in-Chief
Here is a pano I took last night with a sunset over Bega near the old sluice gate that long ago permitted the river transport to Vienna.

Valentin,

I always make myself time to get lost in your intimate looks at just one area in your journey. The 360 Panos are done so well.

It's wonderful and free to be able to enjoy what you saw, that evening looking towards the Bega river. I must admit, I wish we already had a way of including these massive files in OPF. A solution will be coming if my hopes come true when a friend will let me use his compression scheme here.

Meanwhile, here are some of my captures from your panos. I wish we could have an option whereby the little icons in the panoviewer would disappear!

What are those beautiful wild flowers? I hope you have closeups too!

This is a treat! Please accept my appreciation, bringing us this nature, surviving despite everything we do!

Looking forward to details of these interesting plants!

Nice pano. Do you have others of the area? My grand parents emigrated from Romania nearly 100 years ago. I've never been there, and have an interest.

Thanks for the post!

hi Asher and thank you for the kind words.

I took only the fisheye lenses and it was really dark just after the sun sinked into the river - I discovered the plants this morning only while watching the image; it was a surprise for me.

I made a short bicycle trip there and this was the only one I made in that area; maybe someday I'll return for some more.

the humble wild plants are a hope that life goes on even without us.

I've never done a 360 pano like this, but would like to. Do you only use your fisheye for these? This one is very nice, great soft evening light, and I too love the plants at your feet.

hi Jim and thank you for the kind words,
for this shot I used tokina 10-17 @ 15 mm on Canon 5D
at the time I was using also a manfrotto tripod and 360Precision panoramic head.
