A bit of an older shot (2007) taken by an IR modded canon 350d at Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.

Beth,

I had no ideas that the Cadillac Ranch was not a place just for cattle. I expected Longhorns, LOL! This is the first time I've seen these wonderful beasts, nose first, it seems, planted into the ground, one set of wheels helplessly in the air with nothing to grip! This must be a great sight to capture at sunset.

I find the composition dramatic and evocative. My first thought was that this was some sort of Henge, a dedication of wood or rocks to some past heros or gods. I had to peer close to discover these were indeed dead cars. Only in America!

thanks asher. this was actually taken around 1pm, its the ir that makes the sky change tone like that. sky and water turn black while clouds and foliage turn white. they are indeed full size, previously working cadillacs.
