Thanks John.

Keep up the very good work! For those who have not visited this labor of love, John has assembled a lot of hard to find information, sources for profiles, problems and solutions as well as the latest news. Unlike many other wikis, this site is constantly being updated and that is appreciated.

We really need Epson to be put under market pressure. Whenever, Canon falters, like in being at first stubborn in replacing easily worn out or damaged parts, we can lose faith in making the switch and Canon Prograph printers seem more risky than perhaps they are. However, Canon eventually has shown good faith. It just continues to shun open responses to any new problem. This applies to all its products, it seems. Leica, by contrast has immediately accepted criticisms and kept users informed with regular statements when the M8 was released with flaws. Canon seems to get round to things but until then seems to act as if nothing is wrong.

A summary of where we are in respect to the service for and the reliability of the new printers would be helpful. I'd like to know if Canon wide format printers are ready to be replacements for the Epsons and, if so, why you might think that.

A lot to ask, but if you have an opinion, that would be helpful.

I do hope Canon gets a little more helpful in showing support for Leopard and not just keeping their intent to themselves.

Thanks,

Asher
