CIEDE2000 colour difference formula

Are there any colour difference formula newer than the CIEDE2000 colour difference formula? (Reference: http://www.ece.rochester.edu/~gsharma/ciede2000/ciede2000noteCRNA.pdf )

I have had considerable success in using this for my studies.

Urban, Berns, and Rosen (in I believe 2007) present a color difference formula based on the CIECAM02 appearance model:

I don't know what its standing is.
