Hi Bart

What a treat! I have spent many weeks/months in and around the Glencoe area, you have captured here beautifully some of it's foreboding grandeur, the essence of the ever shifting light, did you go to Glen Etive? have you any of Buachille Etive Mhor?

I was in Glencoe this January and was on Rannoch Moor when it was frozen solid after a temperature down to minus 16 degrees the night before, I don't think I've ever been so cold in my life despite having on many many layers of clothing, although I was absolutely frozen I found it completely exhilarating and totally awesome.

Thanks for showing these to us, brought back great memories for me.....

beautiful place, well captured! Landscapes are something I don't usually associate with range finders, thanks for posting these!

Dramatic Scottish light at it's best!

Am up in Glencoe in a couple of weeks time, mainly for some climbing, but hoping to get some camera time as well. Looking forward to it all the more now!

Hi Jan,
Sorry I haven't visited Glen Etive, although being close, so no pictures I'm afraid.
I found Rannoch Moor during summer already quite impressive, but during winter ...
It must have been awesome I'm sure, but you're brave enduring minus 16° !
Not me, I was quite happy and comfortable taking this shot (location: Three Sisters) through the car's windshield.

Thanks and kind regards.

Bart: is this film? Great shots. I want to go there.

Best,

D

Hey Doug, really this is M8 stuff !
I'm sure you'll love the place and the adjacent Rannoch Moor.
During my 2 weeks stay I visited Coe many times but the weather let me down most of the time (The Scots call it 'soft weather': go figure). Perhaps it sounds silly but I got quite emotional at that time: it was just such a stroke of luck ...

All the best.

Sorry to hear you're such an occupied man Mike.
But I'm sure you'll get your break.

All the best.
