Derelict

This derelict is aground in Bodega Bay harbor. I shot this from a fishing pier that reaches out far into the bay.

The morning was foggy, and I wanted to compress the fog to give the wreck a ghostly feeling.

This is full frame, the final print will be cropped slightly to remove some foreground and sky.

Nice! The fog really does help convey the sense of abandonment and loneliness. I think your idea for slight cropping will help - there's just a bit too much blank space at the top and bottom of the frame. Looks like there's a little bit of rust on the boat (or maybe it's dirt)? That color stands out well in the photo and also helps to tell the story of the old boat.
