My World: diamond-moon

Hi,

another facette of the recent waxing moon:
in this photo there's nothing but C1 and a subtle editing of contrast with TopazLabs' Clarity; shot with the 5D Mark III and the EF200mm f/2,8 on tripod at ISO 3200 and f/13 for slightly intensifing the starlight of the moon

Wolfgang, I prefer this one to Glowing Moon, and i liked it a lot.
This one is just more accessible in my eyes.
Good stuff.

I agree that this is a more substantial and satisfying picture. Yes, it's also even more restrained than the the glowing moon picture, but much richer for the fuller moon and the counterbalancing pylon tower with its red aircraft FAA required safety red light and a nearby pinpoint light from an adjacent building. These lights are so small, but highly signicant elements that strengthen the composition and sense of balance. This image is actually outstanding in its possession of dynamic activity, life and boiled-down clarity and could serve as the start of a collection of such disciplined, stark but paradoxically rich photographs.
