Offering a helpful, well-thought-out critique is as much as skill as capturing a great image.
I've been working quite hard at the image-capturing part and I've made a great deal of progress. I've a long way to go (and in fact am in the first day of a 5 day workshop on portraiture as of...oh about 5 hours ago), but I'm pleased with my own progress. Now, I'm ready to learn by offering critique. Please note -- I realize I know far less that the vast majority here. I'm hoping that I can learn by analyzing. So, if my critique is totally off-base, tell me! But one request -- tell me why as well.
I will make some silly comments, I'm sure. But everything I say will be offered in the spirit of trying to improve the process of image making: the critiquee's possibly, but mine most definitely.
So, I'm jumping in. I ask for patience along with an understanding that I'm learning. So......
