This is a superb catch! But I wonder, Chris if you have considered how powerful it becomes with 20% or so at the lower portion cropped. Not that it needs to be cropped, just that it becomes so strong. I wonder whether that's just my weird way of seeing things or whether peraps anyone else has that same feeling. I guess, that without the lower 20% or so, the picture transforms into a wide panorama that's awesome! Why the foreground seems to cancel that, I do not understand but it does appear to me to be real.

I can't make that work, Asher as it is the height of the dune that makes the shot for me. Were it not for these coastal dunes, most of the Florida beaches would simply wash into the Gulf.

If anything, I might be temped to dump some of the sky, further emphasizing the dune structure.

New Layer, Gradient Tool set to "Foreground to Transparent", Multiply Opacity at 50%.

The crop is set to one of my "usual" crop 2*5 and I tried to enhance the dune as it is the most important part of the image according to your opinion.

Also played with the Curves. Just a bit.
