Well.....my favorite Eagles are back to the nest for another nesting season (6th year i have followed this pair). This is the Male waiting for his mate to return.......

He didn't move for 1.5 hours....so I got him in few different light conditions

Very cool, Eric. Same location and tree, I guess?

Do they use the same nest, probably reinforcing it from any damage, or do they start a new one?

Are you able to recognize features to identify them as the same individuals? All eagles look alike to me!! :)

Yes they use the same nest every year. Each year nest gets bigger and bigger.

Juveniles from last year are off on their own. they seem to come by the nest after the adults have the new off spring for this year. Funny to watch the adults chase away last years kids so they can raise the new chicks!
