Dr Klaus Schmitt: A Special One

Centered as it deserves to be well placed in white space!

Klaus,

Ever since, at the turn to the 20th century, when lenses were already too sharp, portraitists sought to soften their forensic and clinical precision to make pleasant portraits and images of what they loved. Here, this softness of the flower now renders an ethereal image that is so gentle and inviting to engage and explore. Furthermore, the addition of the ghost in the right b.g. provides a reach backwards that creates an intervening emptiness that now surrounds it and defines the picture.

(The only suggestion I might have, would be to explore the possible enhancement of the motif or depth of space, by darkening some of the black in the foreground with a gradient. But that is going to take some experimenting and either works well or will diminish the picture).

This is a treasure of a picture and one to print and represent you well.

Thanks Asher, appreciate your words. I tried to compose that with its twin in the back and create what I call an "echo" of that foreground flower.
