Fatal Errors

If I’d have listened to my critics I’d have slashed my wrists years ago.

I can remember a time when I’ve binned a picture or disliked what I have.
Not one, except maybe a Polaroid I took of my mother in law entering the front door of my home.
My one fatal error.

Those large non-rusting rings remind me of anchoring points for ropes to the stone walls in Venice,

....for boats in the formerly functioning canals before they were were filled in to make roads!

What is the story about these remarkably heavy duty rings?

These ones are in Bologna.
I dont think boats got that close to bologna.

You'll find them all over Italy. Maybe they were for securing the slaves or chariots.
Or they might be a recent feature for the tourists to photograph.
