Is this fog or smog?

Seems like early morning and there appear to be two broad paths. I wonder if this is for separating lines of cattle or sheep?

In any case, this is soothing and easily selected as something to be revisited time and again.

It is indeed fog. The East coast of Britain is shrouded in fog most winter days. It's morning fog that lasts all day.

The grass is cut either side of the fence for access. Fixing fences is a full-time job. Once it was hedgerows but some bright spark thought it would be a good idea to remove them. Not a good idea.
Hedgerows are hidie-holes for all sorts of useful bugs and birds and they outlast a wire fence by 100 years or more.

The path between the fences is a right of way. It's probably been there for 1000 years.
