Hi Cem,

Yes, I managed to get out as planned. A bit colder than predicted, but comfortable nonetheless.
As promised I took along a P&S so you can tag along with me:

Nah, we don't listen, we blast 'em with sonar!

Now, before all the northern guys start asking "where's the power auger, the snow mobile, the ice house, etc." remember...this is on a NYC reservoir. Old school only. Nothing that could possibly contaminate the resource. It makes for a tiring day though, dragging that sled all over the place and hand-augering all the holes!

These are fantastic, thanks so much for sharing with us . The pictures give quite a good idea of how the situation was. And I love the self-portrait!

Is it normal for you to be the only one around or did the other fishers have better locations elsewhere? Most importantly, did you catch any fish? If so, what kind and what size? Do you have a catch and release policy? etc, etc ;-)
