I believe there is a special place for everyone on Earth. Somewhere you return in your dreams, when you need to be strengthened up, somewhere that is not just a place on a map. For me it could be the wide rivers of my home area of Finnish Lapland. But it isn't. My spiritual home is Glencoe in Scotland. Here is a postcard taken during a brief stop on our way north to Ft William. No picture can ever do justice to Glencoe but here's a humble attempt.

Jarmo, when you say “a postcard” do you mean it’s a photo akin to a postcard view or you purchased that card locally?

They are all wonderful!cqe have the benefit of both a good photograph, well composed, inviting and interesting and we get to vicariously share in your Gen or vacation!

I love Glencoe also and your 'postcard' nicely captures the transition from the open landscape of Rannoch Moor to the rugged beauty of the mountains.

I have some photos of Glencoe taken a few years ago on a hiking/climbing trip - will look to post them on a separate thread.
