Good(ish) News For Me (at least . . .)

Yesterday had a meeting with someone from an NGO, the local branch (for the département) about a project. It is a subject for an exhibition to take place in November as part of their fundraising programe. A most worthy cause I think.

I had taken the precaution of looking up a bit about this NGO on the internet so when I asked if I knew anything about them I could rattle off a fews snippets of info. It sounds light hearted put like that but it is an area of photography that really does interest me.

After a meeting of just over an hour I was asked to put together prices for the cost of work involved in doing the photography and printing and stuff so that they can seek funding (based on my figures . .. .eeeek).

I did ask if there were other opportunities as while it would be good to do an expo the humanitarian side of things attracts me now. Years ago when younger I just wanted fun but as I have got older I find there are things in the world that interest me that I feel strongly about (is that good or bad? - I hope good).

So, now for some number crunching.

Hélène,

Congrats. Just the project alone is great if you have the time as it forces one to be very productive to a schedule. To also be paid is great. Make a price that's really worth your time if this is how you earn a living!
